“Let's Get Real” - COTSS-Housing 18th Annual Conference and AGM

Friday 4 November 2011 at the College of Occupational Therapists, London.

With many experiencing difficult times at work, with cuts to services and jobs and a great deal of uncertainty about funding and policy direction - particularly with key pieces of legislation ‘on pause’ - how can we best support each other to maintain and develop good practice in housing?

We promote the role of occupational therapy in the field of accessible housing and independent living

COT Specialist Section - Housing provides a forum for occupational therapists and occupational therapy staff that have an interest in housing, inclusive design and accessible home environments.

We work closely with other related organisations and professionals with a similar interest. We advocate for improved standards of housing for older and disabled people. We work to influence consultations at both national and local level regarding housing and the built environment.

By joining you get the opportunity to network with OTs who share your commitment to raising standards, creating user-centred housing services and a more inclusive built environment

If you practise in the health, social care or independent sectors, and 'housing' forms part or all of your work, membership of COT Specialist Section - Housing enhances your skills and knowledge.
Have your voice heard within COT and help raise standards as well as receiving support from other like-minded professionals. We have over 400 members, supported by UK-wide regional representatives.
