Long Term Neurological Conditions - Implications for Occupational Therapy
2nd and 3rd of October 2008

Newcastle Marriott Metrocentre, Marriott Hotels, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

COT Specialist Section - Neurological Practice
Annual Conference and Exhibition

This year’s Neurological Practice conference offers a chance for delegates to hear clinicians’ experiences of using and implementing evidenced based interventions into realistic every day practice. The focus will be the management of long term conditions and the implications for occupational therapists working with clients with these type of conditions. This year we have gone to great lengths to include a wide variety of topics that are relevant to both acute and community therapists to benefit a wide range of our members. The conference will also provide an invaluable opportunity to meet with other neurological occupational therapists working throughout the country, share good practice examples and to hear about the work that Neurological Practice Specialist Section has been involved in nationally.

Keynote Speakers

Dr. David Burn – Neurologist with a special interest in Parkinson’s Disease, Newcastle
Dr. Diane Playford – Rehabilitation Consultant, National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery
Dr. Gail Eva – Occupational Therapist and specialist in palliative care
