Join or start a BAOT local group to meet your professional and social needs

BAOT local groups offer you the opportunity to join an already existing group of friendly professionals - or start your own. Gain valuable professional development, share your experience, increase your competency and confidence and expand your social network too.

Four quick and easy steps to start a BAOT local group:

  1. Take the opportunity to discuss with colleagues whether they would be interested in meeting regularly to discuss issues which influence or affect their day to day practice. Also discuss practicalities such as suitable times and places and involve your manager if appropriate or helpful.

  2. Select a group co-ordinator responsible for receiving and sharing information with COT, liaising with the Regional Committee Local Group Co-ordinator.

  3. Needs are varying and can be based on anything from work changes to best practice issues, professional networking or specific clinical practice relevant to members of the local group. Should you wish to organise an event or promotional activity and need funds financial support or resources contact your Regional Committee Local Group Co-ordinator. Contact details for your Regional Committee Local Group Co-ordinator will be supplied when you register.

  4. Contact Juliette.Elias@cot.co.uk with your BAOT membership number to register your local group.
