'Imagine being undone by a button.'

Leaflet cover

Extract from the leaflet:

"Imagine being defeated by an everyday task you used to take for granted, like putting your clothes on. Sometimes fastening a button is just as challenging but for very different reasons. What if, for example, you were so depressed you couldn't be bothered getting dressed in the first place?

Occupational therapy can help. Our concern is not so much with injury or illness itself, but on how it affects the skills and confidence needed to tackle the job of living.

Working alongside other health care professionals, you'll find us in hospitals, in the workplace and in the home. People who benefit from occupational therapy come from all walks of life, but all have something in common. At some time or other they will have experienced difficulty with the kind of daily activity that most of us do without thinking. Our aim is to enable people to get the most out of life, despite their disabilities."
