How have you found your fieldwork placements?
"I did, I did my first placement in neurosciences and my second placement in forensic unit, forensic mental health. The thing about placements, I felt I was really prepared by the College for the placement. Also being a mature student as well and having worked, been in employment before I kind of new what to expect to a certain degree as regards working in a team. The final placement, its very very important to establish that working relationship with your supervisor as your working so closely together. The first placement, I didn't get much opportunity to, I felt a bit of a shadow with the supervisor but I felt that was necessary because it was the first placement and it was very very new to me. Maybe that's because of the nature of physical as well, I found in mental health was able to work on my own initiative a lot more, work separately from, work with other team members as much as with my supervisor. Then again I had the experience of another placement"
Interviewer "Yeah it builds confidence doesn't it"
"Yeah, but the, having a course which has a lot of time committed to placements is very very beneficial for working in that profession.
