"The reason I started OT was really quite by accident. I was a secretary for eighteen years so I came in as a mature student. I was looking for a direction to take that in, to try and use my skills and I went along to an open-day at Brunel University and it was that that sort of triggered me. It seemed to fit with all my ideas and values and it was using my skills in a practical way and I really liked the idea that it was holistic and client-centred and that was really how I got started."
