Downloading PDF documents

Get Adobe Acrobat Reader The application packs are in 'Portable Document Format' (PDF) which can be read using Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you already have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your machine then the document will open automatically when you click on it. If it doesn't then click on the image at the right to obtain a free copy.

Acrobat 6

All new PDF documents will be created using the Adobe Acrobat Professional 6 software, and we are working towards optimising older documents for this format too. Acrobat 6 creates smaller documents which take less time to download, and are also easier for disabled users to read and fill in.

All PDF documents on the site can be opened using Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4 or later, but they will look significantly better and be easier to fill in if you download the latest version of the software.

Download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader from the Adobe website. The software is free to download. If you are not authorised to download software on your machine, please ask your IT or network support staff for help.

Filling in a PDF form

Forms on the COT site are often in the PDF format. There are two ways to fill in a PDF form:

1. Complete the PDF document electronically and then print it out and post the forms to the College. If you choose to do it this way, there are a couple of points to remember:

2. Print out the whole pack and complete the hard copy forms in the normal way (either by typing or and word processing).
