SeniorLinkEldercare LLP is a partnership consisting of Eldercare, a long-established telecare provider, and the international charity Help the Aged. The workshop will discuss and demonstrate the latest assistive technology products linked to a dispersed alarm system. The theme of the workshop will revolve around the concept that while the technology is interesting, new and even revolutionary, it is the care behind the technology that makes telecare a viable alternative to residential care. SeniorLinkEldercare is committed to providing telecare to those less able to care for themselves because of age or other reasons, but who wish to continue to live independently in their own homes.
Learning outcomes:
· Gain a practical insight into the latest in telecare and assistive technologies
· Understand the role of the carer in ensuring that the technology meets the needs of the service user
