The workshop is aimed at OT service managers and senior practitioners in Social Care and Housing. An overview of the range of outsourcing options for disability assessments and follow-up work will be given, using specific contract examples. This will be followed by an interactive panel discussion.

Learning outcomes:

• Appreciate the role of partnership contracting with an independent OT service provider in managing workflow and in meeting performance indicator targets
• Be aware of the variety of contracts types and terms, such as spot purchase and block contracts, Disabled Living Grant applications and mobility assessments
• Understand the key elements involved in setting up, running and monitoring a partnership contract with an independent OT provider
