The Royal College of Occupation Therapists (RCOT) is developing a new guideline on occupational therapy and play, which is due to be published in spring 2022.
All members are encouraged to submit feedback, not only those who are children and young people specialists, to help shape the scope of the new guideline. Members have until 5pm on Friday 17 July 2020 to provide their feedback, in particular on the objective, research question, target population and audience.
Dr Tanya Rihtman, chair of the Occupational Therapy and Play guideline development group, says:
“RCOT's decision to develop a new guideline on play and occupational therapy is hugely welcomed. The proposed guideline development process will help ensure that our professional remit in this key area of occupation is consolidated. In order to achieve this, a clear scope for the guideline is essential.”
