The Challenge
Client was struggling to access bathroom facilities due to small bathroom and had fallen when having a strip wash. Client felt she needed care support for safety but didn’t feel comfortable with having someone in the house as a very private person
The Change
We agreed to get the bathroom door re-hung to open out into the hallway rather than into the bathroom to create more space.
The Impact
This meant that there was less chance of the client falling with her wheeled zimmerframe due to lack of space. It also meant that client could continue to attend to her personal care needs with increased safety and most importantly independence.
