The Challenge
During Covid 19, many learning disability (LD) services have moved their projects onto virtual platforms. The challenge was to remotely support service users to access new platforms and continue participation.
The Change
Zoom was the platform identified. An activity breakdown was created in an easy-read format and sent out to service users.
The Impact
This has continued participation and routine in the LD community. A service manager reports, "it has been supporting a client's routine. I have never seen EP as vocal as he is on Zoom! His mum fed back that he ‘loves it’. He joins every session."
