The Challenge
Needing to provide moving & handling training to those being redeployed within the Trust and new starters while following guidelines for current practice relating to Covid-19.
The Change
Rapid changes were made reduce numbers and maintain social distance in training. Changing the delivery of training meaning that staff are only practising some techniques and shown the principles of others using mannequins for demos where possible.
The Impact
Continuing to provide training, albeit in a different format, to ensure staff have the appropriate knowledge & skills to support patients safely on the frontline.
