The Challenge
During the coronavirus crisis, I had to think about ways to keep the lads occupied whilst they were spending large amounts of time in their cells (up to 23 hours a day) with little resources.
The Change
Sharing resources with prison OT's and agencies who support prisoners to ensure the lads are provided with a range of activities. We have created a 'Get Creatin' Whilst Isolatin' competition for lads to share positive experiences and creative pieces.
The Impact
It has been good to network with other OT's working in the same environment and share appropriate resources. I have provided over 100 distraction packs for the lads within the prison to keep them occupied at this difficult time.
