The Challenge
Rose has a severe kyphosis and as a result cannot lift her head to see the lock on her front door when trying to put the key in. She also struggles with mobility and uses a frame so using the lock was very difficult and had resulted in a fall.
The Change
We arranged for an electric door opener to be fitted that is opened using a large button fob. The door then automatically closes and locks securely. Adjusting the door opener timer allowed enough time to walk through the door without having to rush.
The Impact
Rose now feels able to go out whenever she wants without having to ask for assistance, giving her back her independence and confidence.
