The Challenge
I looked at my own practice to reduce any possible transmission of Covid-19 to our vulnerable patients and their families.
The Change
This virus has been reported to live on different surfaces from 4 hours up to 2 to 3 days. It can be assumed that the virus will remain active on clothing for several hours so I no longer travel to and from work in my uniform.
The Impact
With others able to see my change in practice, understanding the rationale some have begun to adopt this practice, also demonstrating adherence to the responsibility to maintain a safe environment for service users and those involved in their care.
