The Challenge
I listened to a story by support staff about a young lady with a learning disability who is withdrawn in her room The staff group were concerned about her low mood and disengagement from things she enjoyed.
The Change
I offered some guidance to the staff working with her about how they could encourage and support her, how doing less might be doing more and different ways to invite the young lady into activity
The Impact
The staff group became more confident and within days the person began reengaging in activities she enjoyed
