The Challenge
Jane was born with limited movement on her arms and legs, however, she persevere throughout her life to be independent. She is now a wheelchair user and with recent admission to hospital due to infection, Jane struggled to return to her independence.
The Change
Following the home assessment, Jane's environment had been adapted to her needs. Grab rails were provided at specific part of the house where she is able to pull herself up to safely transfer to her wheelchair from bed, toilet, shower and stair lift.
The Impact
Now Jane is able to move around the house both upstairs and downstairs whenever she needed to. Most importantly, she is now able to go to her bed to sleep at anytime she wanted without the need to wait for her carers to assist her.
