The Challenge
The client was eating takeaway everyday due to low mood and motivation to cook. This meant he was in debt to the local take away and did not have enough money to pay for other household items.
The Change
We discussed his reasons for not wanting to cook, explored the benefits of cooking for himself and talked about the meals he has enjoyed cooking in the past. We set a goal of making one large batch of food a week to put in the fridge for other days.
The Impact
He is enjoying cooking Caribbean meals he learnt when he was growing up and talks about the importance of food and cuisine within Caribbean culture. He has started to care for himself in others ways such as cleaning his house and washing his clothes
