The Challenge
Due to Alison's long standing rheumatoid arthritis, recent brain aneurysm and death of her beloved horse she decided not to keep horses anymore. This affected her psychologically, emotionally and spiritually - she had lost her main passion in life.
The Change
I explored with Alison ways of being involved with horses that would help her mental and spiritual health. She chose horse carriage driving. I designed a specialist riding glove that could accommodate her deformities so she could grip the reins.
The Impact
Alison is very involved with her horse carriage group and with help of the specialist glove won a recent national competition. She has got her joy back! She now writes horse related poetry and paints horses. She has inspired me and so many others.
