The Challenge
Meg was struggling to get in/out of her house with her four-wheeled walker due to the door threshold. Meg was very upset as she had been told that there were no changes that could be made to the door and that her only option would be rehousing.
The Change
The housing occupational therapy service visited Meg and was able to identify a rubber threshold ramp that could allow Meg to get in and out of her home with her four-wheeled walker.
The Impact
Meg is now able to access her home independently with a reduced falls risk and with greater ease. Meg was delighted that she would not require to consider rehousing due to this simple solution from occupational therapy.
