The Challenge
Jenny was socially isolated, increasingly reliant on her friend for all daily tasks and had moved into the friend's home. This was causing strain on the friendship and Jenny spent extended periods of time in bed.
The Change
Jenny was supported to re-establish a daily routine, to practice her walking outdoors so she regained her confidence and exercise tolerance. Community activities of interest to Jenny were explored. Consequently, she began to spend less time in bed.
The Impact
Jenny regained her independence managing her daily activities, attained improved sleep habits, returned to using buses to go out and about and identified a coffee group to attend independently. Her friend felt able to return to work.
