The Challenge
Josie* is a teenager with learning disability and autism. She was leaving her classroom 20+ times per day, missing her lessons and being disruptive.
The Change
I completed an ax of sensory processing and identified hyper-reactivity and praxis problems having a negative impact upon her occupational performance. I put in place an exercise programme at the start of each day to provide proprioceptive input.
The Impact
Josie was happier, able to focus and organise and remain in the classroom. For the first time she sat her exams without difficulty.
