The Challenge
The introduction of Integrated Ward Therapists to the Stroke Rehab Unit, required 'buy in' from all the staff. For success, staff needed to understand the need for a rehabilitative approach to daily tasks, whilst incorporating traditional roles.
The Change
The 'magic trolley' allowed opportunity to discuss, share and gather ideas of how the integrated ward staff would work. The trolley was brightly lit, decorated with posters and pushed around the unit over several days by different staff members.
The Impact
The Multidisciplinary staff actively participated in the trolley discussions and provided informative ideas and suggestions. The trolley was seen as a fun and interactive way to ask questions which were presented as 'you said, we listened' feedback.
