The Challenge
To get Michael, who had been in bed for over two years following a lower limb amputation sitting out of bed, by building his confidence with hoisting and his trust in therapists from Social Care and the Neighbourhood Team
The Change
Providing a hoist and a care chair to allow him to sit out of bed. Spending time with him building up his trust in the team and the equipment.
The Impact
Michael is delighted to be sitting out of bed and is now wanting to explore showering.
