The Challenge
There were delays in adding patients to our Older People’s Rehabilitation Ward waiting list.
The Change
We agreed to remove paper referrals and changed to bleep, telephone or dedicated email referrals.
The Impact
Hospital patient flow is improved as medically stable patients can now transfer to the ward within hours of referral. Patient and family satisfaction has improved.
