We’re pleased to announce the winners of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists’ Fellowship and Merit Awards 2020.
This year, the following members have been awarded a Fellowship:

- Ruth Tyerman, Programme Manager ‘Working Out’, Community Head Injury Service, The Camborne Centre, Aylesbury
The recipients of the Merit Award 2020 are:
- Dr Theresa Baxter, Teaching Associate Problem Based Learning, GEM Programme Derby Centre, School of Medicine, University of Nottingham
- Wendy Chambers, AHP Practice Education Lead / Specialist Occupational Therapist, NHS Dumfries and Galloway
- Janine Smith, Associate Director, Older People’s Services / NAViGO Restraint Reduction Lead
- Louise Watson, Occupational Therapy Professional Lead & Chief Allied Health Professional Clyde, Acute Services, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde
Every year members of the Royal College are invited to nominate their colleagues for a Fellowship of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, or a Merit Award in recognition of their special contribution to the profession. We’re grateful to members who have contributed to and supported the nominations submitted for 2020, and congratulations to the award winners.
The awards will be formally presented at a ceremony in September.
