Julia Scott, Chief Executive at the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, said:
“Alongside many other agencies in the health and care sector, we are shocked and saddened by the contents of last night’s Panorama programme, which showed the disgusting mistreatment of some of the most vulnerable people in society. We are aware that a number of occupational therapists work for Cygnet Healthcare across the UK and we are sure that they too will be appalled by the events shown last night. We are monitoring the situation closely and are in regular contact with the relevant health authorities involved.”
