The Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) Chief Executive, Julia Scott, will be opening this year’s Occupational Therapy Show which takes place at the NEC, Birmingham on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 November.
Julia will be opening the event with a keynote address on: ‘Occupational therapy - A profession at the (cutting) edge’. The speech is part of RCOT’s two-day programme of activities at the show, many of which will be at our stand C42.
RCOT experts will be involved throughout the event, delivering talks and hosting Q&A sessions. On day one, RCOT’s Professional Development Manager, Dr Stephanie Tempest, and Lead Professional Adviser, Paul Cooper, will share the latest developments with advancing practice, and encourage delegates to consider their own career development aspirations.
On day two, RCOT’s Research and Development Manager, Dr Gillian Ward, will outline RCOT’s brand new Research and Development Strategy 2019-2024 and share the Royal College’s vision for research. Talk timings and theatre details will be available in the show programme.
We look forward to welcoming our members and show delegates to stand C42, where our team will be on hand to answer questions and share the latest guidance and advice from the Royal College.
Anne Keen from RCOT’s Professional Practice Enquiries Service will be running drop-in sessions where delegates can ask questions about professional practice, whilst representatives from several Specialist Sections and Regional groups will be joining the RCOT stand to provide support and networking opportunities.
