The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Dissemination Centre is looking to develop a collection of NIHR Signals (short summaries of recent research) of relevance to occupational therapists. They are looking for occupational therapists to contribute.
NIHR Signals provide decision makers in the NHS, public health and social care with the latest important research from the NIHR and other health research organisations. Signals explain why the study was needed, what the researchers did, what the study found, how this relates to current guidelines and what the implications are of the findings. They are accompanied by commentary from experts in their field, researchers and those working in practice.
The Dissemination Centre is seeking three to five occupational therapists to:
- browse the Signals on the NIHR Disseminations Centre’s Discover portal.
- select two to four Signals that you consider the most interesting/significant to your area of practice.
- write a short commentary about each Signal selected.
The 'My Signals: Occupational Therapy' collection would join existing collections, including the My Signals: Physiotherapy and My Signals: Patients collections. This is a great continuing professional development activity, and your chance to contribute to an occupational therapy focused resource.
