This year, working with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), we have jointly led eight other professional bodies to update our principles of practice-based learning.
This means the principles are now co-badged by 10 AHP professional bodies to support you in creating quality and sustainable placement opportunities.
You are invited to the launch of the updated principles at 11am,Thursday 19 October 2023.
This will take the form of a webinar, jointly hosted by all those professional bodies who are sharing this document. Together we'll open up the conversation on making placements work for everyone.
As this spans 10 professional bodies we expect this event to be popular. Spaces are limited, so claim your spot today.
What are the principles?
The principles are designed to act as a catalyst for conversation. They structure thinking to support the thousands of practitioners, university programme teams and learners – our future workforce – who are delivering and experiencing practice-based learning opportunities.
By joining forces with other AHPs, and working together, the principles go even further in supporting multi-professional conversations and actions too.
As an introduction, you may want to read version one of the principles co-created by us and CSP in 2022.
What will happen at the webinar?
We will provide an update on the principles and how you can embed these in your practice. You will come away understanding how the principles can support you, your team, and our OTs and AHPs of the future to have the best possible placement experiences – the introduction to their chosen careers.

The webinar is open to members and non-members.
If you are a non-member you'll need to register for a free account to make your booking.
