England’s final national clinical director job adverts go live

The last national clinical director jobs were added to NHS Jobs last night.

Most posts are part-time and are primarily based at the NHS Commissioning Board’s offices in Leeds and London, with application closing dates set at Friday 9 January.

The many posts include AHP-friendly roles such as major trauma, obesity and diabetes, spinal disorders, musculoskeletal disorders, dementia, stroke, and rehabilitation, recovering in the community.

Other posts include the directorships for informaticsmental health, integration and frail elderlycancer, respiratory disease, rural and remote care services, and children and young people’s transition to adulthood.

There are also posts for maternity and women’s health, heart disease, renal disease, diagnostics including imaging, enhanced recovery and acute, pathology services, emergency preparedness and critical care, gastrointestinal and liver disorders and urgent care.

Julia Scott, COT chief executive, said: ‘AHPs are very well placed to apply for a number of these new NCD posts and we are hopeful that a number will not only do so, but also be successful and have the opportunity to demonstrate their clinical and leadership skills.’
