Ticket bookings are now open for our 2023 Elizabeth Casson Memorial Lecture with Keir Harding, taking place online on Thursday 27 April at 6.30–8pm.
Keir Harding will give this year’s prestigious lecture, Nothing grows in toxic environments, followed by a Q&A. You will hear Keir share his knowledge and experience in working with distressed individuals and the crucial role of creating supportive environments for their wellbeing.
You can watch our lecture online from wherever you are. The lecture is free to attend, but you’ll need to register for the event so you can access the livestream.
Keir Harding is recognised as an expert in the mental health field, specifically in working with individuals who use self-harm, recurrently feel suicidal and live with enormous amounts of stigma. He shared:
'There is nothing RCOT could have done to make me question their judgement or leadership more than invite me to give this lecture. Joking aside, when I qualified, I felt I didn’t have a voice and it’s inconceivable that my peers feel I have something useful to say to the profession.’
‘I look forward to delivering something that reflects Elizabeth Casson’s pioneering spirit in a way that champions the essential work we do.’
Follow #RCOTCasson on social media to keep up with this year’s lecture.
We award the Elizabeth Casson Memorial lectureship to an RCOT member whose peers consider them to have made and be making a significant contribution to the profession’s development.
