The Health Professions Council (HPC) is the regulatory body for occupational therapists and twelve other allied health professions
The Health Professions Council (HPC) protects the public by keeping a register of health professionals who meet HPC standards in the following areas:
- Training
- Professional skills
- Behaviour
- Health
Being on the Health Professions register means that you can use the protected title of ‘occupational therapist’. It is a criminal offence to use the title ‘occupational therapist’ if you are not registered with the Health Professions Council.
