nanthiniMy name is Nanthini, I am a senior occupational therapist with a visual impairment and am currently working in neuro rehab for Barnet and Chase Farm Trust in London. Writing this now is making me stop to reflect on the journey that I took to be here today.  My message to anyone reading this regardless of whether you are a student or thinking about a career as an occupational therapist is to go for it! Certainly for me this is the field I want to be working in. It has enabled me to expand my knowledge and broaden my career opportunities. Certainly you will face barriers but not only will this make you stronger but it will also help to raise awareness further of disabilities in the field of occupational therapy.
