This event has finished.
This year's RCOT Roadshow is centered on enabling productive lives, why enabling people to be productive is core to occupational therapy, and we discuss links between social determinants of health, productivity, and health and wellbeing at different stages in our lives. There will also be updates from RCOT's Scottish Policy Officer and RCOT Scottish Board.
The roadshow will cover:
- Why productivity is central to good health and occupational therapy practice.
- Embracing new forms of participation: what does this mean for society, service users and occupational therapy practice.
- An introduction to Getting My Life Back: Occupational therapy promoting mental health and wellbeing and the latest campaign materials.
Participants will be encouraged to:
- Reflect on how they currently support:
- People to be productive and active members of their community
- Delivery of the policy agenda surrounding work and employment
- Consider how to innovate their practice to enable productive lives
- Generate ideas and future actions for the Occupational Therapy: improving lives saving money campaign
