This year's RCOT Roadshow is centered on enabling productive lives and why enabling people to be productive is core to occupational therapy. Plus we discuss link between the social determinants of health, productivity and health and wellbeing at different stages in our lives.

RCOT Roadshows are annual events hosted by RCOT regions for all occupational therapists, occupational therapy staff and occupational therapy students.
This session is designed to give an over view of relevant policy developments, tools to support practice and current RCOT activity.
The roadshow will cover:
- why productivity is central to good health and occupational therapy practice
- embracing new forms of participation: what does this mean for society, service users and occupational therapy practice
- an introduction to Getting My Life Back: Occupational therapy promoting mental health and wellbeing and the latest campaign materials.
Participants will be encouraged to reflect on how they currently support:
- people to be productive and active members of their community
- delivery of the policy agenda surrounding work and employment
- consider how to innovate their practice to enable productive lives
- generate ideas and future actions for the occupation.
