Occupational Therapy Week at RCOT HQ (London)

How many ways are there to make a cup of tea? And how easy or complex is that process? This interactive session will explore the complexities that lie behind daily activities and occupations. We hope to challenge your thinking about things that, on the surface, look straightforward as well as the different meanings behind the everyday things we do.

Tuesday 7th November: 1.30–2pm

This fun, interactive session will help you discover what you REALLY want in life. Not what you THINK you want, or what your parents or your partner wants. But what you really want deep down. Because we all have dreams, right? This session will help you take that first step towards achieving your dreams.

Come along and hear ideas from an occupational therapist about how you can further support you children to get organised, manage their day and develop their independence.

Wednesday 8th November: 12–12.30pm

The use of technology has the potential to enhance people’s ability to manage their health, as well improve their wellbeing. This session will look at some technologies used to support health and care, explaining how occupational therapists utilise these to enable people to live their lives.

Wednesday 8th November: 1–1.30pm

Feeling that life is all about work, tasks and activities that you have to do? This session gives practical advice, sharing top tips for getting a balance between work, rest and play.

Thursday 9th November: 12–12.30pm
Friday 10th November: 12–12.30pm

Discussion about what occupational therapy is, the importance of occupations and how engagement and participation in everyday activities can promote health and wellbeing.
