This workshop is exclusively for occupational therapists who are currently working in neonatal care/on a neonatal unit at an enhanced level of practice in the UK.
Important: Bookings cannot be accepted for students or any OT not working within the UK or on a neonatal unit. If on the day attendees are found not to meet this criteria they will be removed from the meeting and will not be eligible for a refund.
This workshop will be facilitated by clinical experts and will include a combination of theory, discussions, case studies and practical activities.
Learning objectives:
- Understand the impact of personal and environmental factors, including pain/stress on the occupational performance of infants and parents/carers in neonatal settings, and be able to apply this to practice
- Develop skills and confidence to enable infant and parent/carer participation in occupations such as feeding, sleeping and coping with procedures
- Confidently articulate the role and value of occupational therapy in neonatal care to parents/carers, members of the MDT and others

Pre-course information and joining instructions: When you book, you’ll automatically be sent a joining instructions email to the address you used for your booking. This email will include the event Zoom link and pre-event requirements, including items you’ll need to bring along and other actions. We’ll resend the joining instructions to you nearer the time.

Accepted methods of payment: Credit card and Debit card only (excluding AMEX). We do not accept PO’s or issue invoices. When you pay for your ticket online, there’ll be a short delay displaying the payment form(s) while your details are being processed.

Cancellation and substitutions: Refunds will not be made without a written request. Cancellations made 14 days or more before the event will incur a charge of 20% of the registration fee. Cancellations made after this date will incur a charge of 60% of the registration fee. Cancellations on the day of the event or ‘no shows’ will not be refunded.
