Target audience: Members that have been elected to RCOT Branch Committees (Specialist Sections and Regions) and the Board - Wales. This is essential training for all new RCOT Branch volunteers and Board members.
Outline Programme: The structure of the day is designed to be flexible. The day will signpost members to key resources to support the activities of the Branches. The day will consist of presentations and group work. A delegate pack will be provided to all attendees.
Programme: Provides RCOT volunteers with an introduction to the organisation of RCOT, its roles and functions.
The Induction training aims to:
- Provide a consistent understanding of the structure, the work and role of Council, Boards and Branches within the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
- Provide information resources and support, essential for carrying out your role as a Branch Volunteer or Board member.
- Provide an understanding of RCOT governance for Branches.
- Provide information, resources and support for members who volunteer within the organisation.
Facilitated by: Louise Cusack, UK Regional and Specialist Sections Manager and Policy Officer - Wales, and/or members of RCOT staff.
Confirmation: You will receive confirmation by email of your place on this session including details of the location within two weeks of your application.
*Travel Expenses The College will meet travel expenditure for members.
When booking travel to attend, if the cost will exceed £100, please give a courtesy call to Olivia Lokko, Region Membership Administrator (020 3141 4668) to discuss. As with all member training events, we ask that you please keep travel costs to a minimum by booking in advance wherever possible.
Please keep all receipts as expenses cannot be paid without production of a receipt; expense forms will be available on the day to reclaim your travel expenses. Expense claims must be submitted for payment within 3 months of being incurred. Claims for expenses outside this period will be rejected.
We would like to stress that to enable as many individuals to attend these and future training sessions, the cheapest fare possible is to be booked.
