East Lothian Health & Social Care Partnership.
On Tuesday 31 October 2017:
- A radio interview on East Coast FM (Scotland) will take place, interviewing an occupational therapist about the role of occupational therapy and its importance in maintaining occupations.
- There will be an open session to promote occupational therapy and encourage different professional groups to come and find out about what we do and why. There will be opportunity to try out different cognitive assessments, try on a Bariatric Suit and work out what challenges this would bring to someone with sensory impaired eating tasks.
- An event at a local high school will also be occuring, to fit in with a module the children are working on about disabilities. The session we run will hopefully compliment the module by asking students to attempt tasks by reducing their ‘abilities’ and work out solutions to these difficulties.
