RCOT South West 's Abstract Writing Workshop with Clare Taylor
Want to present your clinical work or research but unsure how to formulate into an abstract?
Are you doing some amazing work in practice that needs to be shared?
During the morning workshop you will:
- Learn how to write an abstract
- Increase your likelihood to get accepted for conference
- Learn from experienced occupational therapists with success in abstract writing.
Feel free to bring an abstract or a paper you are working on to this event.
Learn how to develop this into an abstract with our morning abstract writing workshop followed by this year's RCOT Roadshow.
RCOT Roadshow: Occupational Therapy: Enabling Productive Lives
The roadshow will be centered on enabling productive lives, exploring why enabling people to be productive is core to occupational therapy and also discussing the links between the social determinants of health, productivity, and health and wellbeing at different stages in our lives.
The Roadshow will cover:
- Why productivity is central to good health and occupational therapy practice.
- Embracing new forms of participation: what does this mean for society, service users and occupational therapy practice.
- An introduction to Getting My Life Back: Occupational therapy promoting mental health and wellbeing and the latest campaign materials.
Participants will be encouraged to and reflect on how they currently support:
- People to be productive and active members of their community.
- Delivery of the policy agenda surrounding work and employment.
- Consider how to innovate their practice to enable productive lives.
- Generate ideas and future actions for the Occupational Therapy: improving lives saving money campaign.
